Business Essentials for Scientists is a course aimed at doctoral candidates at Åbo Akademi and the University of Turku. The course is organized by Åbo Akademi.

Come and listen to entrepreneurs, researchers, and other professionals with first-hand experience in:

• Working outside the academic sector
• Selling, and why it is important
• Pitching (how to present your research/idea)
• Starting your own company
• Immaterial rights
• Management and strategy in business

The course will be held on: 13.10., 18.10., 20.10., 25.10. and 27.10. Lectures and workshops are organised between 12:00 and 18:00 – a detailed schedule and course location will be available later. Coffee and snacks are served during each course day.
